Job Title: Incoming QA Materials Inspection Technician

Contract Type: 6-Month Contract with Potential for Full-Time Hire

Pay Rate: $25- 27/hr

Location: Research Triangle Park (RTP) Manufacturing Site, Durham, NC

Schedule: Days, 12-Hour Shifts, 2-2-3 Schedule (Some OT Possible)

Start Date: 3-4 weeks

Overview

Our Client's Research Triangle Park (RTP) site in Durham, NC, is a cutting-edge manufacturing facility focusing on parenteral, device, and packaging assembly. As they gear up for full production, the company is seeking experienced QA Technicians to manage incoming material inspection and support warehouse operations. This role is integral to addressing the influx of work associated with the facility's aggressive expansion.

Position Summary

The QA Materials Incoming Inspection Technician will work directly within the warehouse team to inspect, receive, and process incoming materials per established procedures. This role includes material handling between two warehouses within close proximity, adhering to quality standards to support the manufacturing site's production timeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming material inspections, including ID testing, sampling of raw materials, GMP supplies, and printed packaging materials.
• Document inspections according to procedural specifications, using SAP, Trackwise, and SmartLab systems.
• Identify and quarantine materials that do not meet specifications.
• Communicate effectively with the QA Disposition team to expedite material release and avoid production delays.
• Assess and report damaged materials or any discrepancies, including temperature excursions on inbound shipments.
• Support warehouse operations by following proper safety protocols and using PPE appropriately.
• Deliver samples to laboratories and manage retention samples.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience: 1-3 years in QA material inspection within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Skills: Strong experience with SAP and Trackwise preferred; familiarity with LIMS systems, particularly Darwin or similar, is advantageous.
• Flexibility: Candidates should be open to potential schedule changes as the site progresses toward full production.

• Onsite Requirement: This position is 100% onsite; candidates should be local to RTP (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill areas)
