Position Summary: The QA Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications through meticulous manual testing. This role involves identifying, reporting, and resolving software defects to ensure a high level of quality and user satisfaction. The tester will work closely with development teams and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Test Planning: Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications. Manual Testing: Perform manual testing on software applications to identify defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Defect Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports. Quality Assurance: Ensure that software applications are user-friendly, reliable, and meet the company’s quality standards. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Previous experience in manual testing or quality assurance. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in using bug tracking and test management tools. Good communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: Working with Microsoft ADO or Jira is a plus Experience with automated testing tools. Knowledge of programming languages and scripting. Why Selene?
