ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Director of Performance is a hands-on leadership role that blends coaching, mentoring, strategic planning, and community building. You’ll lead from the front, working directly with youth, high school, college, and professional athletes, and our high-performing staff. You’ll shape our training philosophy, design programming, build partnerships in the community, and make sure every athlete and coach who walks through our doors feels challenged, supported, and part of something bigger.

This full-time role reports directly to the Owner and is designed for someone who wants to lead, grow, and have a lasting impact.

ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll oversee the daily operations of our performance training department, leading a growing team of coaches and interns while staying deeply connected to the floor. This is a hybrid leadership role: part coaching, part mentorship, part strategy. You’ll spend approximately 15-25 hours per week coaching (depending on the season), with the remainder dedicated to program oversight, staff development, business growth, and community engagement.

As Paradigm Sport’s Performance Director, you’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the coaching team with high standards, clear communication, and daily accountability.
• Building and maintaining a high-energy, athlete-first training environment that aligns with our core values.
• Designing or reviewing programming across youth, high school, collegiate, and professional athlete populations.
• Coaching group and semi-private sessions while mentoring newer coaches on the floor.
• Onboarding all new performance athletes through Strategy Sessions and ensuring a seamless athlete experience from day one.
• Tracking and improving retention, athlete progress, and team performance KPI’s.
• Running weekly team meetings and 1:1 coaching check-ins to support development and alignment.
• Collaborating with our Owner and marketing team to launch new programs and promote seasonal offerings.
• Contributing to and overseeing social content creation that educates, inspires, and reflects our training culture.
• Leading partnerships and outreach efforts with schools, teams, and local organizations.
• Driving innovation in training systems, programming tools, and staff education.
• Representing Paradigm Sport in the community and on social media as a trusted authority in performance.
• You’ll work closely with the Owner to review growth metrics, shape long-term strategy, and make sure Paradigm Sport continues to deliver on its promise: elite coaching, no ego, and a community that shows up.
