Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required: Bachelor's or Master's Degree from a recognized university in Petroleum, Geophysics, Geology, or Chemical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 7.5 and above. Minimum 2 years of QA experience (Experience with Oil and Gas Upstream applications preferred). Good understanding of upstream applications. (Preferred: EDT Applications). Knowledge of one or more of the basic wells engineering concepts including: Well construction – drilling techniques, well control, fluids property management, drilling mechanics, performance monitoring. Well completions – completion designs, well performance analysis. Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, WellPlan, Compass will be an advantage. Basic understanding of Framework creation using any of the Automation tools. Experience with SDLC/STLC processes and a complete understanding of various testing types such as Smoke, Functional, Integration, Performance, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing. Proficiency in Test Case creation, Defect and Test Management tools (Azure DevOps/TFS, JIRA). Comfortable with Agile methodologies. Excellent Communication Skills. Job Role Responsibilities: Provide engineering support in drilling and completions areas to the DWP team. Provide an objective assessment of Product Quality. Contribute as an active Software Tester on the Team to deliver product stories. Develop Test Cases based on Test Objectives and Acceptance Criteria. Write comprehensive Test Cases to verify Product functionality. Contribute during Sprint Planning to ensure all Testing concerns are discussed and accommodated in the story sizing. Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and define key End User Workflows. Define, create, and maintain Test environments. Validate Functionality according to Requirements/Stories. Verify Development changes have no undesired effect on other, associated areas of Functionality. Identify, communicate, and document Bugs in a consistent fashion.
